As a hypothyroid mom of 3 kids with a demanding profession in the health care industry, I struggled to find the best routine to keep myself healthy! I found myself exhausted every day and desperately needed a change.

I tried running, fitness videos, apps, calorie counting, keto diets, you name it, I probably tried it! I aspired to match what other people were doing and compared myself to them. All that did was leave me feeling defeated and unable to match their discipline. I just could not understand how they could have the motivation to fit one more thing into their day, and I couldn’t.

I happened to see the right no-nonsense post at the right time, and it just hit me. It is simple. It is absolutely doable. I finally realized that the answer was for me to find something that worked for me and stop wishing

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.”

Jim Rohn

After some trial and error, I found that I could strength train for 20 minutes, 3-4 times a week and stay inside a calorie deficit to slowly transform into the fit, healthy momma I’ve always wanted to be. Nothing is as encouraging as seeing results!

Never did I ever think I would be looking forward to my workout sessions. Jamming to my music as I sweat through my resistance training, I feel amazing. I eat when I am feeling hungry and I load my meals with nutrients, healthy fats and protein. I try not to take in processed foods and unhealthy calories but I do have an occasional treat!

It took me years to understand that the answer was to find something I can do consistently and keep it simple! This route worked for me because I only needed a few dumbells and my own body. I encourage readers to find what it is that works for the, do not get discouraged, and do not give up on yourself.
